Engagement Ring Shopping Made Easy

Buying an engagement ring is a personal experience for each couple. Each couple will have their own likes and dislikes in regards to diamond size and shape. Some women prefer silver while others like gold rings. Diamond shapes include marquis, round, pear, oval and heart shaped.
Selecting an engagement ring for your beloved may appear frightening, but it doesn't have to be. Men who know little about jewelry will soon learn a lot when shopping for an engagement ring. There are several things you need to consider when looking for the perfect ring.

Cut refers to the proportions and symmetry. If it is rated, look for an excellent, very good, or good rating. Cut quality is important as it makes the diamond shine. Color and clarity are less important and less noticeable. Cut is the skill with which a diamond is faceted and determines the catching of light in a diamond.
Diamonds come in a variety of colors, cuts, clarities and carats (the 4 C's) and there is a diamond for every budget. It's certainly possible to buy an engagement ring for less than $1000. A diamond's quality varies and a smaller diamond with greater quality may look better than a poor quality large diamond.

There are four classes of diamond cut. Class I & Class II are well proportioned diamonds with 88-93 percent light return. Two diamonds of similar cut, color, clarity and caret weight will probably not be equally beautiful. Each diamond is unique just like your soulmate.

Diamonds are measured in carats. The higher the number of carats, the larger the diamond. And the larger the diamond, the more expensive it will usually be.

Every engagement ring is different, so don't be afraid to make this very special purchase. Your soulmate will cherish this gift you picked out for her forever.
